Our center organized a field trip to Chi-shang on June 22, 2019, titled Chi-shang local cultural experience. This trip helps international students to know the local culture and industry of Taitung. We took students to Luye tea factory and Chi-shang rice factory.

Rice and tea are necessary and important to Chinese cuisine and culture. By visiting the tea factory in Luye and the rice factory in Chi-Shang, the international students had the opportunity to experience the various snacks and traditional afternoon tea flavors derived from tea and rice. They were able to immerse themselves in the nostalgic taste of Taiwan and gain a deeper understanding of the significance of tea and rice in Taiwanese culture.
